RPM Orientation Information

  • Dear Parent/Guardian:

Congratulations and welcome to RPM (Reaching Potential Through Manufacturing) for the 2022-2023 school year! The RPM program is a partnership between the Richmond County School System and Textron Specialized Vehicles (E-Z-GO). The faculty and staff are delighted to have your child with us and look forward to an exciting school year. It is our hope that this school year will be successful and productive.

As you know, students are required to attend school each day in order to work their four hour shift. In addition, students must be at least 16 years of age and pass a drug screening to be employed. Since you are receiving this letter, you have completed and met all requirements to be a Textron employee and a member of RPM.

Orientation for all RPM students and their parents/guardians are held at the RPM facility prior to students starting the program. Times and dates of orientation will be provided by Mrs. Makowski following successful completion of a drug screening. The address for RPM is 2920 Mike Padgett Highway, Augusta, GA 30906. Attendance is mandatory. The orientation will cover an overview of TSV, safety, 1st day expectations, academic expectations, behavior expectations, and the signing of a few Textron HR documents. Please be aware that the documents will require a parent or legal guardian to sign if the student is under the age of 18. It is of the upmost importance that the student brings proper identification with them to the orientation. Also, during orientation students will receive steel-toed boots and a RPM T-shirt. Orientation is designed to prepare students for the first day of work and class starting August 8th in addition to answering any remaining questions or concerns.
