Ms. Heather Staniszewski
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Heather Staniszewski. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, Reading, Literature, and Art from Olivet College in 1994. I am currently working on my Masters In Education in Curriculum at Augusta University. I have been employed by the Richmond County Board of Education for thirty years as a Visual Arts Teacher. I was the Murphey Middle Teacher of the Year in 1998, Sego Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2008, and T.W. Josey Teacher of the Year in 2016 and 2021. In 2022, I was the Richmond County Schools Art Teacher of the Year. I am very excited about teaching AP 2D Design, AP Drawing, Visual Arts I, II, and III and IV. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you. We will experience many new artistic adventures and some challenges along the way. To make this year a successful one, teamwork, hard work, and cooperation will be required by all. As your teacher, it is my goal to help you become a confident artist and student. My office hours for after-school help is available Wednesdays from 2:15 pm-3:30 pm. A fun fact about me is I have a pet frog who is 35 years old.
