Journey and Accomplishments: Angela Burnett started her career as a Librarian Assistant in the East Central GA Regional Library for 13 years, serving all the Richmond County branches.  She then decided it was best for her family to work the same schedule as the school system, and she became the front office secretary and data clerk at Lake Forest Hills Elementary. After her children graduated from elementary school, she became an administrative assistant in the curriculum department at the district level of the Richmond County School System. Ms. Burnett finished her 2nd degree and became a first year computer literacy teacher at Tubman Middle School, where she also served as girls' track coach, and athletic director. When Tubman dynamics changed, she became an administrative assistant at TW Josey High School, and now she serves as Executive Administrative Assistant at the 樱花动漫 District in the Associate Superintendent of Academic Services office. Mrs. Burnett has been in the Richmond County School System for 24 years.

Fun Fact: Angela has been a member of the Augusta Soul Sliders for over 20 years, which is the first line dance group in Augusta, Georgia. Augusta Soul Sliders travel to all parts of the United States performing, and in 2018 she was nominated to receive the Stepologist award in Baltimore, Maryland at the UC Awards.
