Asynchronous PE Lesson – September 27, 2024

Coach Holmes’ At-樱花动漫 Fitness Challenge

Objective:
Stay active at home by completing a series of fun exercises that help improve strength, endurance, and flexibility.


Warm-Up (5 minutes):

  • Jog in place – 2 minutes
  • Arm circles – 10 forward, 10 backward
  • High knees – 1 minute
  • Toe touches – Reach for your toes and hold for 10 seconds, repeat 3 times

Main Activity (20 minutes):

Complete the following exercises in 2 rounds:

  • Jumping Jacks – 20 repetitions
  • Bodyweight Squats – 15 repetitions
  • Mountain Climbers – 20 repetitions (10 per leg)
  • Push-Ups – 10 repetitions (modify by using knees if necessary)
  • Plank Hold – Hold for 20 seconds

Take a 1-minute rest between rounds.

Cool-Down (5 minutes):

  • Butterfly Stretch – Sit down, put feet together, and stretch out your legs. Hold for 15 seconds.
  • Reach for the Sky – Stand up and stretch your arms as high as you can. Hold for 15 seconds.
  • Child’s Pose – Kneel on the floor, stretch your arms out in front of you, and lean back. Hold for 15 seconds.

Challenge (Optional):

Create your own 3-minute dance routine using your favorite moves.

  1. Which exercise was the hardest for you, and why?
  2. How did you feel after completing the workout?
  3. Why is it important to stay active, even when you're at home?
