Ms. Ebony Lindsey
As a proud educator of 21 years and counting, I have been proactively involved in my career as an educator. Throughout my educational endeavors, I have held a variety of positions starting from paraprofessional, elementary and middle school teacher, induction teacher mentor, Instructional Coach, math facilitator, computer science teacher, STEM instructor to currently an Instructional Specialist. As a graduate of a STEM field in mathematics and computer science and having worked in a STEM career before my educational endeavors, I know firsthand that STEM learning and being a productive citizen, an effective communicator, an innovator and problem-solver and a continuous learner are imperative skills needed for our future graduates and their career goals. For this reason, I am absolutely elated that I get to engage and work collaboratively with fellow colleagues, students and parents to convey the importance of being a productive and responsible citizen in our community.
I have the honor of being Teacher of the Year three times: 2007, 2014 and a District Teacher of the Year Finalist 2022-2023.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Paine College, a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Troy University, a Specialist Degree in Technology in Education from Leslie University, and a K-5 Elementary Mathematics Endorsement.
I have worked the majority of my educational career in Richmond County and a year in Dekalb County. I am certified in K-8 Elementary and Middle School Education. I have taught all grades, Prek through 8th grade, in elementary and middle school.
