Mrs. Middleton
WELCOME!!!!
Hello! My name is Shaneca Middleton, and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I am excited to be starting my first year as a fourth-grade teacher here at Meadowbrook Elementary. I was born in Savannah, Ga, however I have spent most of my life here in the CSRA. I grew up in a beautiful family, my parents have four children and I’m the oldest child. My parents are both educators for Richmond County, and my grandparents are retired educators. I graduated from Augusta University with my Bachelor’s in sociology. I became a case manager for a foster care agency in Snellville, Ga after graduating. I’m currently furthering my education and working on my Master’s in Elementary Education. I’m married and gave birth to my first child this past July.
Prior to case management, I served as a paraprofessional at Youth Challenge Academy for two and a half years. I also served a learning lab proctor for Aiken County Public schools for three years. In that role, I had the opportunity to work with students in the virtual class setting. Some worked on current classes needed, credit recovery, or trying to get ahead and graduate early. My first year I did exceptionally well and had the highest passing scores for virtual learning in the district. I’ve always been passionate about becoming a teacher, as I would like to help make a difference in their educational background. With years of experience as a paraprofessional, and ongoing training I’m confident that I will set your child up for success.
I’m excited to have your child in my class, we’re going to do so many fun things. Above all we will learn a lot, and I look forward to meeting you at Open House. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at any time. I hope you had a fabulous summer, see you soon!
Sincerely,
Shaneca Middleton
