Course Description
This course is designed to equip students with essential skills and strategies for academic and personal success in college. Topics will include time management, effective study techniques, critical thinking, goal setting, and utilizing campus resources. By the end of the course, students will be better prepared to navigate the challenges of college life and achieve their academic goals.
Course Objectives:
Develop effective time management and organizational skills.
Utilize various study techniques to enhance learning and retention.
Apply critical thinking strategies to academic and personal situations.
Set realistic and achievable academic and personal goals.
Navigate and utilize campus resources and support services.
Required Materials
- Notebook/Journal: For note-taking and reflection will be provided
- Laptop: For accessing online resources and assignments
- Access to CANVAS: For course materials and discussions
Assignments and Grading
Participation and Attendance: 25%
Weekly Reflections and Journal Entries: 25%
Group Projects/Presentations: 25%
Final Project: 25%
