    GLRS is a state agency that provides Ongoing, Effective, Professional Learning - To assist local school systems in meeting the federal requirements of IDEIA and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

    East GLRS is located in Richmond County and Richmond County serves as the fiscal agent.  In addition, the agency serves school systems throughout Georgia - Burke, Columbia, Emanuel, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren, and Wilkes. This agency serves the charter school, Georgia School of Innovation and the Classics (GSIC) .  GLRS is here to assist schools in improving the academic performance of students with disabilities and other students who struggle to learn.  We work with the RCBOE Professional Learning Department to create and offer professional learning activities designed to meet the immediate needs of teachers and students. We also work with our East GLRS/District 10 Stakeholders to identify specific areas of need. We have a particular interest in helping those schools designated by DOE as Intensive.  Upon your request, we will discuss the possibility of potential future collaboration with your school and/or system.  We also provide an on-site observation and coaching component to ensure practical follow-up activities. 
     
    East GLRS supports districts designated by DOE as disproportionate in areas of need.  Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CEIS) are provided for designated counties.  East GLRS works within the guidelines of SSIP and Aspire.
