• Book Reviews and Recommendations

So many books and so little time!

Sometimes, finding a good book can be difficult. You go to the library, and see all those books on the shelves--it can be overwhelming! How do you know what will be good? How will you know what you will like? We are told "don't judge a book by its cover," but the problem is, you can't always judge a book by its cover!

The websites below may help you find a good book. On these websites, you can read book reviews by other kids. They will let you know what they liked and didn't like, and why. You can learn about new books, new authors, and new series. If you create a user account (with the permission and help of your responsible adult), you can also rate and review books. You can join online book clubs where you can discuss books, earn points and badges, or win prizes.

Avid book readers often make use of these websites to find their next book or create a "wish list" of books to read. I use them when I am getting ready to order books for the library to learn what's popular, what's trending, and what kids want to read. I read their interviews with favorite authors and illustrators.

Not sure what to read? Check out one of these websites below.
